Principal's Message

Hello Charlotte Ave. Families,

This year we also began with a focus on the "8 Habits of Happy Kids". Each month we introduce a new habit where the entire school works together as a community to practice it. As we add new habits, we will continue to focus on the previous habits we learned as well. At the end of each month we host a "Top Dog" assembly, celebrating the student's accomplishments.

Please continue to check our web page for the letters to families that provide details on each of the habits and how families can support this wonderful learning at home. These habits support modern learners as they lay the foundation for critical thinking skills, which help children think before they act. Our district's mission is "Engaging all students in learning experiences that inspire lifelong learning and empower each for their future" in combination with the "8 Habits" providing a positive foundation towards this goal.

Lastly, I would like to thank our PTSA and our community for the amazing support each of you provides. Your support is essential to the growth and achievement of students. If you are not involved in the PTSA, I would encourage you to come to a meeting or call a PTSA leader to see how you can get involved.

Warm Regards,

Danielle Lango

Hello Charlotte Ave. Families,

I hope you have all stayed warm and safe during the storm, and got to enjoy some extra family time.

We are half way through our school year and I am happy to say that it has been a great start. As many of you know, Charlotte Ave. had a facelift over the summer to our library and media center, the cafeteria, the front hallway, the restrooms, the PreK/Kindergarten hallway and the nurse's office. Providing modern spaces and robust learning experiences will support elevated learning to prepare students for the future.
